Transformation often requires hard work and sacrifice. Like the forging of a blade from the raw material of the cold steel to the blazing edge that emerges from the fire. Life is Forged in Fire.

On this episode of The Gentlemen’s Brotherhood, we are joined by Alex Ruiz, one of the celebrated bladesmiths featured on the TV show Forged In Fire. Alex earned the title of Champion on Season 5 of the show. Listen to our insightful conversation that reveals some interesting behind the scenes looks as well as some lessons we can forge out of the fire.

On this episode of The Gentlemen’s Brotherhood, we uncover what the typical answers are when complete strangers are asked this very question. In this episode, I’m joined by Atdhe, a talented filmmaker who is creating a documentary where his team of volunteers scour the streets of the world to answer this simple, yet profound question “Are you happy?”.

How does one become a better dad today?

As parents, raising our children properly is one of the most important and consequential things we will ever do. And yet, I have seen first hand how some parents make some serious mistakes that have lasting consequences in the mental and emotional health of their children.

Some parents just emulate what their parents did before them, even when there is clear evidence of the detrimental effects of continuing those practices.

When it comes to preparing the next generation, simply going through the motions and just  “winging it” may not be the best approach.

We are all in the same boat, there are things we do that we know we can do better and often we know exactly what to do. But why is it so darn difficult to stick to a good habit and why are bad habits so insidious?

On this episode of TGB, we will discuss the biology of habit formation and how we can use that knowledge to establish better habits in our life and remove those that don’t serve us well.

Has it ever happened to you that someone does something incredibly rude to you and yet they seem absolutely oblivious about their transgression? For example, someone standing too close behind you in line, or perhaps someone speaking too loud on the phone. I hate to break it to you, but you and I may be inadvertently guilty of it at times. But don’t worry, on today’s episode, I am joined by Brian Apfel to discuss how to avoid doing it ourselves and how to respectfully confront it when we see it in others. You are listening to TGB.

Today, I have the pleasure of having my good friend Brian Apfel. Brian is a Father, Husband, and a Gentleman. We will be discussing the curious and careless habit of being unintentionally rude. Let’s explore some examples and possible steps to take to avoid being THAT GUY!

Don't you wish there was a formula for being a better husband?
Did you know that most men change after getting married? Unfortunately, that change is not always for the best. The good news is that there are ways in which you can recover from any of those negative changes and become an even better husband.

On this episode of TGB, I am joined by the author and coach John Hulen. He has developed a formula called The F6 Formula, which will help you identify and improve on a variety of areas that you may have been neglecting since getting married.

Is masculinity dying? Should anyone be scandalized if a man wears a dress? Are there specific roles that men are expected to follow in society? Who determines these roles anyway?

Comedian Zoltan Kaszas joins us in a funny and candid conversation about the Modern Male. This celebrated comedian, who has an amazing talent for observational comedy, has a stand-up comedy special titled just that... "Modern Male". You may have seen him before on @DryBarComedy with his hilarious set about his overweight cat Jessica.

We invited him to join us after he published in his YouTube Channel (@ZoltanKaszas) a funny, yet insightful reaction video about Harry Styles being featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine (@AmericanVogue) and people's interesting reaction to it.
(Watch the full reaction video here: https://youtu.be/b5i_qQ3RD98)

Join us in this candid conversation with this talented comedian as we explore the serious -and sometimes funny- side of behaving like a man in today's society.
